Visitor Visas
Visitor visas allow short-term travel to the U.S. for business (B-1), tourism (B-2), or both (B-1/B-2). These visas are not for permanent residency. Applicants typically attend an interview at a U.S. consulate, providing proof of ties to their home country and financial means to cover their stay. Interviews are required for most applicants aged 14-79, with some renewal exceptions.
Stay Duration and Extensions
Initial stays range from one to six months, with possible extensions subject to approval. While visas may allow multiple entries over several years, each visit is usually capped at six months.
